Black_Flame
I have Windows 2000 Advanced Server and just recently got a copy of Windos 2003 Server Enterprise. Do they both support logging in from Windows 98/ME?If so do they need anyother configuration other than installing active directory, setting up user, and config the client computer? I have already setup a user in AD and it says 'Pre-2000 User Name' or something like that so I am supposting that it does.Just need conformation is all. morellana
yes, you can login from those kind of clients, but the computers won't be listed in the computers container, you can't join them to the domain, so the access will depend on the network configuration of the 98/me and the user account you're using to login. the pre-windows 2000 field is used for Netbios name resolution and registration, for both computer (for the services it's offering) and user (used for authentication when you access netbios based networks, like NT networks).bye
