Nomi Posted October 21, 2004 Share Posted October 21, 2004 HiI have Maxell CD-RW (700 MB, 4x-10x)and CD-R/RW 2x(300 KB/s)when i insert CD-RW in the drive, it shows 700 MB free spacebut i coulnd write the data on it, it says "Recorder does not support this type of disk"is there any compatibility issue or i have damaged CD-RW ?any idea? Sad thing is, it will most likely be easier to find firmware for the drive from other sources than LG... Mind you it's only a 8x drive, and you can buy DL DVD burners for 60$ now... rupert86 Posted October 22, 2004 Share Posted October 22, 2004 If its an OEM one (out of a branded system, I have owned a similar one some months ago), its easy to chack it. If its OEM, it has a black front panel. You can get its firmware from here.I also have it, sized 337k, so I can't post it here .
