DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore - not working

Recommended Posts

I have added

DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore

To my winnt.sif to no avail, it still wont install my ATi drivers (There beta, v8-07-018380E) that aren’t signed it asks me to allow it even thought it says in

System Properties....Hardware...Driver Signing

Ignore - Install the software anyway and don’t ask for my approval

I will port my winnt.sif later as I don’t have access too it right now

It installs all the other drivers correctly its just the once that aren't signed that it wont, you have to do it manualy after everything has been installed

What am I ment to do about it being too long? split it into more, like so

OemPnPDriversPath="...."
OemPnPDriversPath="...."
OemPnPDriversPath="...."

No. The limit is a hard limit on the number of characters. I've still yet to find a way around it.

Try adding the following line to HIVEDEF.INF (just after the [AddReg] line):

HKCU,"SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Driver Signing","BehaviorOnFailedVerify",0x00010003,00000000

Edit: Oh. OK then. I must be confused about a limit on something else then... :}

RaveRod, I added that to the file but it still hasnt installed the ATi Beta drivers that are on the disk, it used the Microsoft once makes a change usualy just says in display properties "Unknown on {blank}"

All the other drivers have been installed.. EG Sound, Network...Etc basicly anything that has been signed, i am not shore if there are any other drivers on the disk that my PC uses that are unsigned

Its I386\HIVESFT.inf needs changed.

Change this;

HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing",,0x00000010

To;

HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing","Policy",0x00000001,00

You also need the thing in Winnt.sif

BTW, that sure is a long list, mine install's and I don't do all them sub folder's, strange huh.

I have shorted the OemPnPDriversPath down a little

its now

that is why... i believe ATI drivers, as compliant as they seem (since the drivers are in INF form), always refuses to install via OemPnPDriversPath method. the only way to install ATI drivers is thru ISS method (modifying the setup script), and installing the application silently (by running the setup file) via cmdlines.txt or runonce.

Most of the drivers and lay out are from Bâshrat the Sneaky's driver packs, I have just added to them and updated what I needed

I think I will do a AIO DVD with each version I produce Im only on v1.048

I have just checked my latest PC that I Installed and low and behold the VIA drivers have been installed

Drivers\000\VIA_4.53\Inf\Winxp\VIAMACH.INF Installed

Drivers\000\VIA_4.53\IDEWINXP Installed

I get the ATi Drivers from extracting the install that you download from there site and copy this folder to the installation disk WDM_XP

Shorly everyone one knows that!

Then if I feel like using the Catylist I install that too, but usualy don't

To install the beta drivers I have, I can't use the search feature, I have to goto "Don't search. I will......."

And still says "Hasnt passed Windows Logo...bla bla bla"

FOR ###K SACKS, ITS SET TO "Ignore - Install the software anyway and dont ask for my approval"

Thats with the first edit to the HIVEDEF.INF files, not tried the recently posted
