accidently disabled administrator can't log on

I have XP pro and loaded it on a new hardrive. Trying to avoid the opening welcome page requiring you to sign on as Administrator or set up new user, I disabled the user "Administrator" and now the opening log-on screen has no user for me to select. I cannot log-on to the computer at all. Is there something I can do to fix this and avoid reloading XP somehow?

Well, unless you created another user account with admin privledges you s*** outa luck. But after you reformat and install windows again you might want to check out this guide http://www.tweaktown.com/document.php?dTyp...dId=324&dPage=3, I only linked to the page that tells you how to auto logon in windows xp pro, but you might want to read the whole thing.

Hmm, there might be other things you can do. There is a linux floppy that can change lost passwords. It would probably let you re-enable the account too. There might be more ways around this too... (SAM editing...)

Your Right, I forgot about that, and I use it all the time :D . Heres the link so you can download it, burn it to cd, and enable the account.
