dude guirunonce is used by new bies

i use RunOnceEX.cmd method and Winnt.sif

tell me which programs are giving u problems.

GuiRunOnce is used by newbies? No... it's used by those of us who are lazy & don't care what it looks like. Besides... I like the way a batch file looks.

To each his own. I started with GuiRunOnce when i started 6 months. Ago. As u can also see in unattended.msfn.org

it suggest that moving to RunOnceEx.cmd is the preferred method, with a nicer and cleaner look.

And by the way .. Cranak u hv been reported for Violation of TOA. :)

GUIRunOnce is nice cuz it scrolls.

RunOnceEx is limited (as faras I know) to one column (unless you don't mind it being off screen.

And I'd go so far as to say, both are newbie methods. Allowing for the selection of which apps/tweaks to install and customization like this is a non-newbie method.

returning to the main topic:

i made an iso of windows, it was still small (less than 700mb), and nero refused to burn it to dvd, it asked for cd-r/rw only....

i need to make the manual import in nero to copy to dvd?

Since you're posting in an unattended XP installation forum, what good would it be to create an iso of a windows cd. I do not think that's the way of creating an unattended installation source.

Copy the CD's files to a directory, alter the files necessary (see http://unattended.msfn.org for details) and extract the bootloader.

Then create a bootable DVD including the files from the CD, all others you may want to have on it. Don't forget the bootable settings (bootloader, emulation type).

Then burn. This should be the way.

Making an iso-copy (as I've understood) wouldn't lead to satisfying results, I think.

(Hope I did't anger someone - this thread reads like fire)
