DysfunktinaL
Having recently done the same thing, it -is- your Administrator login on windows XP installation. This would of been the very first password you shoulf of put in when you installed XP.
Flubber
Thanks guys!@DysfunktinaLI thought like this but my admin password was not recognised by the console@aresgodofwarThanks for the link! I read there is a known problem with the console password making it impossible to login for many people.
DysfunktinaL
Yeah, I had that issue too, I know my password, and I know I typed it right. I just had to restart once and it worked.
sleepnmojo
Or you can use the 2000 recovery console, which lets you bypass the adminstrator password in xp. The 2000 console has fewer commands than the xp one though.

Flubber
your welcome flubber. did you execute that registry edit? did it work for you?Sorry for the late response, guys, I moved house!Meanwhile, I found the password culprit - just press enter and u are in!However, it won't be a joy since folders are protected and what u can do is very limited since u dont have any admin rights. It's by default this way and permissions can be changed by a registry tweak only.
