GreenMachine
I don't remember for sure, and I don't have the file here, but I would guess SVC-X2M. If not that, then SVC-POS ... maybe.Let us know what worked!
tarquel
Have just downloaded and installed it.It seems to be msi style install wrapped in IExpress...Unpacking the file reveals three files...InstMsiW.exe - msiexecMessenger.msi - needs to explainationsetup.exe - the IExpress wrapper (I think)Would that help the decision of where to put it?[EDIT 12-10-04:]Right well I've tried it in the X2M folder...not listed or installed after windows had finished installing etc.The Messenger folder in Program Files did contain the 4.7 folder so I wonder whether it was installed and windows decided to replace it with the 4.7 version...Just tried it manually using the /Q:U /R:N switches and they work Gonna try placing it in the POS folder as GM suggested and see what happens.[EDIT 12-10-04:]No luck at all here. Putting the file into the POS directory gives the result of a Messenger folder in Program Files but only a file called lvback.gif inside it.Although in Add/Remove Windows Components, it appears Windows Messenger is installed - it isnt Bit of a weird one....when I get a moment, I'll try putting it back in the X2M folder - maybe it was my bad build (see other post somewhere) that caused it problems.Regards,N. GreenMachine
This is a strange one. I did have it working at one point (I thought), and then I, too, had no luck with it. For the time being, I'm adding this to the "Unsupported" list.On the other hand, I cannot find the download link. Anyone have it? If so, please post it here. Thanks. homiebrah
Wrap the .msi file in iexpress and place in SVC-EXE. Simple as that. The command line for iexpress setup is msiexec /qn /i messenger.msiIf you are using the file from the 5.1 download link in this thread.
