I have the follwing error in Win 2000 when running MS-Dos Applications

6-bit MS-DOS Subsystem

path to the program you are trying to run

C:\WINNT\system32\autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application

On the Microsoft website it gives you steps to fix it but it doesn't work.

(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305521)

I have formatted my PC and re-installed win2000. It was fine for about 2 weeks then it started all over again.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem???

Thanks

Are you having any of these applied? If so, DOS apps won't run as they should:

;Speed up NTFS - these NTFS tweaks improve file system performance
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem]
"Win31FileSystem"=dword:00000000
"Win95TruncatedExtensions"=dword:00000001
"NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate"=dword:00000001
"NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation"=dword:00000001
