Hey there,

This is so stressing, I have tried many times to register this app, cmdlines reg, and in runonceex and failure, if I run it manualy it works, I bet it doesn't apply to global at the time it's ran

using:

[HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]"UserName"="username"

"Company"="Home"

"SerialNo"="key"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]

"UserName"="username"

"Company"="Home"

"SerialNo"="key"

And yes they are valid keys.

Thankz

Have you tried:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]

"UserName"="xxxx"

"Company"="xxxx"

"SerialNo"="xxxxx"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]

"UserName"="xxxx"

"Company"="xxxx"

"SerialNo"="xxxx"

OK, here are the lines stripped straight from my WORKING unattended CD (s/n removed, of course:

;Alcohol120 Registration
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]
"SerialNo"="-"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]
"SerialNo"="-"

The other lines are not necessary AFAIK, the app doesn't complain for me.

I hope ppl quit posting wrong key strings for this app, I had to try a buncha times before getting this because of wrong advice (although glad to accept any help offered...)

Good Luck!

I have good news, it worked now...

The problem was fixed in my cmdlines... Initialy I ran it there, but after that it didn't work, because I was using %systemdrive% variable, then tried a cmd and all was fine :) So if you run that tweak at cmdlines properly all is fine ;)

  • 1 month later...
I just edited the msi file using WinInstallLE and added the reg info in the msi.

How'd you do that?

I'm interested in learning trying this out.

Especially if I could do it with other .msi files.

Edit:

NM figured it out.

Your suggested program, "WinInstallLE", has a slight learning curve.

After some trial and error I got it down.
