XPerties
My daughter turns 16 (oh no!) on Dec 9th and we are throwing here a party which is being held at a local fire hall. A friend of mine is a professional DJ but he is already booked for the entire month of December. Now that leaves it up to me. Let's turn this thread into a DJ/B-Day/Dance thread.Anyone can throw me some song titles out that would be good for this? I need about 6 hours of music so any suggested would be great.Keep in mind we are in the USA and most of the teens now a days don't listen to trace/Techno. sleepnmojo
Easiest way is go read her diary but seriously, just ask her. There are way to many different genres of music to know what she likes. You should know her best. If she is well rounded in her music selection, then this might be easier, but if she is focused on one thing, then we can look closer into it. sven
here is a list of the top 30 songs in montreal, this is on a well known music station.themix.comthey also have something called "the top 8 @ 8" where people phone in and vote for the top 8 songs of that day. top 8 @ 8. this page changes daily, and goes along with the trends. just look for some billboard top 40 songs....... but gotta watch out for some stations that are for "older" listennersin my opinion (im 15) alot of the songs in the top 30 list are really good. www2000
I couldn't tell you what the 16 year olds listen to.The 11-14 year olds pretty much like the crap that plays on the rock stations.I mean the beautiful songs that play on the rock stations. :sigh:I can only thing of PG songs too cause that's all the DJ's allowed to play at our school...He played a few oldies like the "I wanna rock and roll all night" song.Joan Jett has a few that would work such as "I love Rock and Roll"... There's a song by Shaggy "Angel" that might work.OH OH OH! There's these freaky boys over in the east that are alot like the BackStreet Boys that have a few songs that would be suitable and unknown though. They are called WestLife... Grab their What becomes of the Broken Hearted...Maybe Uptown Girl too... Baha Men's - Who let the dogs out might pass a few minutesBlue Suede - Hooked on a FeelingBryan Adams - Heaven or try a few Guns and Roses songs, Posion, White Snake... You know... Some of the great classics. Bon Jovi.Boyz II Men has a few songs that would rock...The Five for Fighting - Superman song still has some life to it.Queen - Bohemian RhapsodyK - Ci and Jojo from the Save the Last Dance soundtrackKid Rock and Sheryl Crow - Pictures could fit in there...You need to start spying on your kids more often! I know they have more songs than I can count, but blammidy if I can rattle them off! I remember 'em when I hear 'em but I can't name most of them!Good luckWisc

Well then how come I'm getting made fun of for responding to a post from 1912?Isn't this post relevant till next week?Seriously though, if a post has been inactive for a month... I understand what your saying, ... Hey... If it works for the forums!I was just thinking after a month without a response, I'd consider it dead. Well I guess I personally couldn't say that...*Sigh*You ever feel like your foots in your mouth when it really shouldn't be?
