I don't know what exactly happened, or how it happened(well, somewhat). This porno site just pops up as my homepage everytime I log on. It's only been a day, but the thing is if I try to change the home address to google.ca or anything else, it just ignores it completely and that site just stays on as my homepage.

I need help, and fast. How do I get rid of it, scary s*** is it doesn't even have proper format for a web page, anyone please help me out here. Thanks.

Hithere,

Well it seems you have a dilema to say the least. You should go here and read this.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;312456

It sounds also like spyware or a virus of some kind. but read the above url first, but if you do not have a spyware remover in your computer, now is the righ time to think of that. I have sybot (which I think is the best) and ad-aware and they work well.

I wish you luck,

Dakota SunRunner

Also, if you do not have anti virus software in your compt, again, now is a good time to get it..

Ad-Aware Personal. Download, update the definitions, scan. You might want to boot into Safe Mode and also disable System Restore before scanning and removing.

Note: if you run HijackThis, do NOT just randomly delete files that appear in the results! There was a user on another forum who did so and botched their entire Windows installation!

And if you're using IE, drop it and get Firefox so the chances of this happening again are slim to none, unless you pick apart a file locally.

Hi again,

Yes, I forgot that, it you run Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, dump it, too many security risks. Get firefox browser, much much better and safer.

Get it here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

You cannot go wrong with firefox as it does all that MSIE does and more with all the great extensions it has. Give yourself time to get use to it...

For Spybot, go here: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Dest...tml?tag=lst-0-2

and for ad-aware go here:

http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Person...tml?tag=lst-0-2

Good luck now,
