gamehead200
That's weird... The build I have is 2180 and the timestamp is 21:58... Are you sure you're not confusing it with something else? Can we see a screenshot?
schalti
Version 5.1 (Build.2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158: Service Pack 2)which means that it was built on August 3rd 2004 21:58So 2158 is two minutes before ten o'clock in the evening, NOT Build 2158.The Build is 2180, just take some DLL or EXE in %WINDIR% or in system32 and you will see. codejunkie
Microsoft ® Windows XP ® (Build 2600.xpsp2_sp2_rtm.040803-2153: Service Pack 2)But regedit says otherwise, 2180 ?????
Vann
This has been discussed extensively already, in multiple threads, even. 2158 is the timestamp. Every SP2 final will display that. The actual version number is displayed when you right-click on ntoskrnl.exe and select "properties."

gamehead200
Microsoft ® Windows XP ® (Build 2600.xpsp2_sp2_rtm.040803-2153: Service Pack 2)But regedit says otherwise, 2180 ?????It does not say 2153 as the timestamp, it says 2158... If it says RTM, then you have 2180.
codejunkie
Ok Sorry my fault, I miss read 2158 as 2153 and I thought the number at the end was the build number
