I have figured out why the entry doesnt workin the [iEPopupBlocker] section. Even the current ref.chm (Help File)that comes with the Windows XP SP2 Deployment Tools has an error.

You need to specify (HTTP) or (HTTPS) before hostname.

Add these [NEW SP2] entries (in the supplied format) in your WINNT.SIF file to successfully customise your XP install.

Whats FavouritesEX?

Is it Internet Explorer favourites?

If so does it place them all in the Links folder of I.E?

The [FavoritesEx] section contains the default Favorites settings for the Windows browser. If not present, Setup uses the default for Microsoft® Windows®.

IMPORTANT NOTE

To make sure your [FavoritesEx] settings take effect, include the [branding] section header and the BrandIEUsingUnattended entry in the answer file to enable the browser-related settings:
