jrzycrim
I should have been modifying the NTUSER.DAT a long time a go. It's made things a lot simpler for me.

`Felix`
Hey pplz,Customizing the Default User Profile Has been updated with some additional regfiles that you can add to your default user hive Enjoy!does not work for me, i used the regfile from your site.add this via cmdlines.txt and reg file.after boot No 2 lines. any ideas? If you follow the instructions exactly it will work i promise you. Adding the registry file during an unattended install will not work. if you want to add your updated default user NTUSER.DAT file to an unattended install you need to copy it to the following path: \$oem$\$Docs\Default UserEnjoy!Felix

durex
So is this method the only means of applying this modification? Im currenlty not using an NTUSER.DAT file for my UA Install and noticed that the file also has some other reg entries in it and dont want it to overwrite tweaks ive already applied...should I worry about this? is there another way to apply this setting?THanks! Alanoll
i get a twoline taskbar without editing the DAT file. Mine's a simply registry tweak.I set how I want the taskbar, restart. Export the TaskBarXP key, then reimport during install at CMDLINES.TXT and GUIRUNONCE. I dunno if both are needed, but doesn't hurt.

jrzycrim
TaskBarXP is actually a value found in this key:[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop]
cscat
Hi all!I read and applied all what Felix and others said here (exporting those keys, changing NTUSER.DAT, etc.) but I couldn't maintain a 2 line taskbar. I even manipulated NTUSER.DAT of Default user with a hex editor. Can somebody here explain in a simple step by step manner what should I do to have this?thx
