wyattXP
you have to unpack the sp2.exe file to a folder and then move the command prompt to the update folder.
johnnyb
That is what "C:\sp2\XPSP2.exe -s:c:\xpcd\" is doing. It is the same thing.

prathapml
From the look of it, seems like you're either doing this on a 64-bit PC (which may error out), or your XP install source or the service-pack version is 64-bit.That just could be a cause for the problems you are facing. Try eliminating those factors.
johnnyb
Alanoll: That is what I am doing with "C:\sp2\XPSP2.exe -s:c:\xpcd\"prathapml:It is not a 64bit pc. I couldn't find a different version of sp2 either. If there is a different 64bit version that could be the problem. Don't think there is one though. Did a little searching and stumbled apon this.http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...3D%26ie%3DUTF-8Turns out some windows 2000 machines might have problems slipstreaming sp2. Like this guy I tried the same thing on an XP machine and it worked perfectly. Thanks for all your input.
