DCOM error - long time to log into WinXP

I seem to be having a problem logging into WinXP. It takes my machine about 45 seconds from the time I hit enter to the time I see my desktop. I looked in my Event Viewer>System log and found this error:

DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service ImapiService with arguments "-Service" in order to run the server:

{520CCA63-51A5-11D3-9144-00104BA11C5E}

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? I suspect this is causing the delay logging in.

The DCOM error is not a problem, it's always been there on my XP install.

The logon delay is not related so you must have a different issue that needs fixing.

Sometimes this sort of delay is network related. What sort of network setup you got?

4 machines behind one router... thing is when I do a clean install of windows, login happens in under 5 seconds and that **** DCOM error wasn't present. After a while it gets muchslower.
