=SBD= REAPER
SIDE NOTE:YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE ANY UTILITIES TO EXTRACT NVIDIA DRIVERS. SIMPLY START TO INSTALL, THEN CLICK CANCEL THE FIRST CHANCE YOU GET. NEXT LOOK FOR C:\NVIDIA FOLDER AND IT'S ALL THERE.
dorkino
ohhhhh ok because i read the chipset sticky n they said to put the .inf in the $$/INFthen the .inf and cab in the $1/drivers so they said u need both thats why im so confusedEverything in the $1 folder gets copied to %SystemDrive% during install. %SystemDrive% is whatever drive Windows was installed to (Usually C:). Likewise, anything placed in the $$ folder gets placed into the %SystemRoot% directory (usually C:\Windows). Also:$Prog = Program Files$Docs = Documents and SettingsPersonally, I place all apps and drivers to be installed in $1. These get copied to the root of C: (for me), however that's not really an issue since I run a cleanup.cmd script at the end of installation that deletes all the directories created (RD /S /Q c:\installs, RD /S /Q C:\drivers, etc.)
MastaVR6
I'm working on a driver only install for corp PC's (more of a challenge vs. a full install). Most of the setup files can be dropped, I do edit the inf to eliminate alternate languages and other files (It's easier to do with the Intel network drivers). I don't do this for performance reasons, as some of the functionality is lost from CPL and certainly from any of tuning tools and nvidia driver services that get installed.WHQL is (by far) saner to import than the non-WHQL drivers.
