neo_3333
Hi Everyone,I've found some switches for ZoneAlarm which seems to allow you to add your licence key and your config file. Not sure it'll work. I'm going to it myself[PATH_to_exe]\zasetupXX_XXX.exe /s /i /noreboot /lickey lwqe95jkdghb03... [PATH_to_config_file]\config.xmlThe "/lickey" switch allows you to specify your license key; separate the switch from the key with a space. Leave another space after the key if you're going to use a configuration file.I works with some of ZoneLabs the other products

T-boy
my bad. I was inputting the wrong sn. thanks thou. one other question... which file contains my preferences and configured application? oioldman
Same product slightly non-relevant but may be useful info =>I have noticed that ZoneAlarm uses .zap files to install it's components, found by looking in the program files installed folder.May be possible to install and modify settings by using GPO to apply to all / some stations if your on a network
neo_3333
my bad. I was inputting the wrong sn. thanks thou. one other question... which file contains my preferences and configured application? I will like to copy them over to the new install. Did you hypens in the serial ?You can backup your security settings in the preferences tab under overview. I will save you settings in a *.xml file which should work with a new install if you use the switches I provided earlier.

Dynamite
I'm afraid the '[PATH_to_config_file]\config.xml' doesn’t work for me, not perfectly anyway. It opens IE and SP2's popup blocker warning, but the config is set correctly, once I've closed IE manualy!anybody any ideas?Edit 06.11.2004 OK I've put the config.xml file inside the Zone alarm folder$OEM$\$1\Install\Applications\ZoneAlarm\and it's picked up automatically

muiz
I had to use this to let ZA autostart with windows : Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vsdatant\Parameters]"TdiEnable"=dword:00000003[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vsmon]"Start"=dword:00000002[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]"Zone Labs Client"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Zone Labs\\ZoneAlarm\\zlclient.exe\""But since the latest version, i get a BSOD during setup VSDATANT.SYS ERRORAnd where do i find the xml and where do i place it?
