Guest LouCypher
Under Windows I use Trillian. I use it because it does everything. I can run it and see who's online on ICQ, MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, and IRC. It does DCC file transfers and isn't a memory hog. It also doesn't have any ads and supports skins via XML.Under Linux I'd say BitchX. I still prefer the text IRC interface w/ a good script running. I just don't spend much time ONLINE w/ Linux, I mostly just play w/ it.
Rick
I use Mirc...it's easy to use for me and it was the most popular that I found when I first got into going on irc. It does DCC and is relatively easy to set up but I am sure that it can be argued that there is much better software out there such as Polaris but I will stick with what I know for now.Rick

revrondo
I am using Mirc for getting files and am very new to this type of IRC, I have been using ICO for ages but have recently began using MSN Messenger mainly for ease of use cos ICQ has too many features that I dont use. Guest LouCypher
Try Trillian!! The webpage is ht*p://www.ceruleanstudios.comGet it and get rid of the bloated copies of ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo! IM, and MIRC. It does all of them AT THE SAME TIME with one program that even does skins!
