Unattended from a 2nd Harddrive

Unattended Installs from a CD require the $OEM$ folder be parallel to the i386 folder is this the same with installing from a different drive? I have read some things saying it has to be parallel and others saying it has to be put in the i386 folder. Anyone know for sure?

the $OEM$ folder is alongside the i386 folder on the root CD.
