1-Windows 2000 pro

2-Windows XP Pro

3-Windows xp pro

4-Windows 98

5-Windows XP Pro Setup

First dont ask how I got all this crap...Long story.Anyways number 3 doesnt even exsist and I want to erase it.And number 5 is driving me nuts. I need to remove all the setup files and the title from the main menu. Everytime I start my computer if Im not right there it starts the install. The only iptions I want to boot into is 1,2,4.Any help would be helpful..This is a major promblem for me! Thanks in advance.

Try right clicking on My Computer/Properties/Advanced/StartUP and Recovery Settings - then click on the Edit button - and you have the Boot.ini file. I would make a backup of it in case somehing goes wrong.

Or you could just open boot.ini (hidden file) with notepad.exe

as posted earlier...

you can get rid of that screen on bootup if you use one OS a lot and rarely use the others...

go to

start> my computer> properties > advanced > startup and recovery [settings] >

now pick you fave OS from the drop down menu, and untick "time to display list of Operating systems"

now when you reboot it will just boot your fave Os, if you want to use one of the others anytime just go back and re-tick the box to get the list back :)
