My installation method for KAV Personal Pro 5.0.20:

Extract files from the installer in a temp folder (use WinRAR)

Add your key file to this folder

SFX with this comments:

;Comments
Setup=setup.exe /S /v/qn
TempMode
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

Silent install works perfectly !!

And installer is smaller than the original one. :D

I tried to make an administrative install point, but it doesn't work. :no:

Unfortunately,

I tried your code and it doesn't work for avoiding rebooting...

I confirmed that under vmware the 5.0.20 version asks for reboot at the end of the process.

I giving you my method just to be sure.

I extract the kav 5.0.20.exe to get all the files. Then i put my key with these files.

I use Winrar to re-compress all of the files, with the sfx box ticked and in the comments tab I put

;Comments
Setup=setup.exe /S /v/qn
TempMode
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

I didn't know this method, so I don't know the way to write.

Do I have to put the " ; Comments " at the beginning of the code ?

Thanks for your help.

No, you don't need to put "; Comments" at the beginning.

I tested under VMware, under my existing version of Windows and on a new install, but I had no reboot at all.

So, it's really strange you need to reboot. Are you sure this is caused by KAV ? Maybe it's another application, isn't it ?

Thanks to you,

The kaspersky personnal pro 5.0.20 that I use asks for reboot.

It is not an other application, because actually I'm trying each application separetely.

I am under XP SP2.

I will try different switches.

Thanks again.

Ok guys, we're talking about Kaspersky Personnal PRO and 5.0.20., it has an installshield.

The kaspersky *.exe downloaded on the kaspersky site must be extract in a directory where you put the .key.

Then you launch this to get it silent :

setup.exe -s

and it works with no reboot.

I hope it helps...

Thanks again
