From my short testings, I already see - this browser is much better and more stable than Supermium and CentBrowser.

Wow! And it's much newer, up-to-date with Google Chrome!!! Supermium is already old, despite being an Alpha release. Why would they release an almost half year old version?

It would be nice to do while it's still in Beta, in other words, we would like a fully portable, and better Unghouled browser.

Don't work. Sadly. @ED_Sln, could you ask the developer to implement them? Thanks.

I have used one of his releases, he already has an ungoogled portable - https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Chromium-for-windows-7/releases/tag/ungoogled-chromium_133.0.6943.126

Sure, it's "only" v133 instead of "cutting edge".

I started experimenting with his when he released an ungoogled v132 - https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Chromium-for-windows-7/releases/tag/ungoogled-chromium_132.0.6834.159

Well, if you're willing to try, try the Vista release suggested by @ED_Sln. It doesn't have Google APIs at all, at least what the author claims, so technically Ungoofed, and it's version 136, whereas Supermium is the old 132.

Oh, and Zero problems with brightness, I mean Zero, yay! Absolutely marvellous font rendering on Vista and even 7 (without SP), not sure about your severely outdated 1607, I don't use it.

I only tried version 136, what is the point of using outdated, when we have the new one?

By the time Supermium "fixes" the bugs, what year it will be? 3056?

It doesn't even start on Windows 7 without the "Platform update", so thanks but no. Version 136 for Vista (non portable) does.

Hence my question to add the portable flags.

He says he's a Chinese student, did you notice odd behaviour, I mean, like we saw in the old russochino repacks of EE360?

Incoming traffic and whatnot?

Didn't look and the way I see it, I spend too much time hunting down things like this "for you" and they end in nothing but Circle Jerk Diatribes from both sides of the equation.

So no, I have no plans to "engage".  You are a Smart Fellow and know how to track down "odd behavior" (American English, and YES, I am "allowed" to use American English).  Why ask me to do it "for you"?

Moving on...  "Toodles"...

edit - I can report that his Brave build does break Brave's phone-home update-check at each and every launch, but his Brave build also breaks Widevine on Netflix.

Have not dug any deeper as of yet.  Widevine and portable flags are my *only* reasons for needing anything outside of Official Ungoogled.  I'd actually much rather use Supermium for Widevine/Netflix but that may never get "hacked".

To be honest, I kind of blame MSFN, lol.  I used to *NEVER* "stream" via computer.  Now I do nothing but stream via computer.  No more "smart TV", no more Roku, it's all done via computer plus userscripts, plus userstyles, plus extensions, etc.

I don't even "watch TV" anymore, I stream *everything* and LOVE IT!  No "ads", just a muted screen and a still-life image, "Commercial Break.  Be Back Soon."

You mean spent? Because it sounded you're not going to do it any more. I'm very grateful you helped to bust down the odd Supermium brightness with proof, and its' clearly seen on your screengrabs. The fact you don't see it on your alleged 40 years old Dell is not relevant, so it's not "Circle", there's nothing to go around in circles about. We see it. and it's enough, so nothing was done in vain. Here I asked you: did you notice, and no need to open up a full-blown investigation about this browser. Just a quick answer would be enough. Thanks.

Garbage files/folders you can safely delete from this browser. Sites work, video plays without 'em, logging in also works. Faster startup. ("gut feeling"). lol.

What are these? Who the Hell knows.

chrome_pwa_launcher.exe

chrome_wer.dll

You can also safely delete the odd locales.

All except en-GB,  French, Dutch, Danish and German. Norwegian? Not sure if we have Norwegians on the forum...

If for some reason, mostly by mistake, your PC is set to US locale, just change it to GB.

I know you and your crew are doing this on purpose (too sequential to not be on purpose).  You said 20 in one post, one of your followers then said 30, now you're at 40.

I give it four days for somebody to call my less-than-10-year-old monitor 50 years old.

Sounds a bit racist, why would you not? I'm French, but I have en-GB locale, in this new modern World one's gotta be more open. It's not like I suggested something you wouldn't want or don't understand.

Besides, it will give you the proper date format, apart from proper spelling.
