Can you say what the benefit of doing so is? What is missing from one or the other that you need both, maybe I'm missing out not running both. 1

Can you elaborate on this (a reference to taskbar icon progress indicators)? Do you mean 2r and earlier or just that one? It wasn't working in either of them for me or anything later .It's hard to believe that it was working in a single build only, so I assume you meant up to that point, then it stopped? But even that's problematic, since why would it work for you at all but not here? Maybe due to the taskbar orientation (vertical in my case) or some other setting? It would be worth figuring out in case there's some simple way to get it working now that we're overlooking. I was referring to the date and time settings.

c3141msf Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 There appears to be an incompatibility with the program PowerArchiver. Upon launching, it crashes the taskbar and then when the taskbar reappears, PowerArchiver Windows do not appear in the list at the bottom.
sana Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) Here is my feedback. Basically the new version is almost there, but there are a few quirks and I guess growing pains, which must be expected when trying to recreate the whole taskbar. Winver 22631.3880. Taskbar width when disabling/re-enabling monitors in any order seems to finally work regardless of any DPI settings, at least with my preliminary testing. ✅ My biggest issue is that using the W10 taskbar with W11 Default Start Menu, the menu appears in the middle even if the taskbar is set to the right side for example. This did not happen in 3.7.11. Please add a Start Menu position setting. ❌ Secondly clicking the Start Menu is inconsistent, it does not always open. Or even if it does it might instantly close. Using Windows key itself seems to work. ❓This might be my mouse breaking, not sure. Thirdly and as the most minor thing, some app icons are not the same size (or even same) for some reason (but this is basically a nit pick). However while I fully appreciate having 7+ Taskbar Tweaker behavior 'Never, hide labels' as the Combine taskbar buttons option, the taskbar icons themselves are not 1:1 size compared to 3.7.11 even with the same literal taskbar width. However I must iterate that this is such a minor issue that I don't really care, it's just mentioned here for parity. Attached images just in case. Edit: Fourth thing and a quite big one is that in fullscreen (borderless) apps I can't get the taskbar to show, even by pressing the windows key, which does open the start menu but does not show the task bar. Thank you! Edit: added an example of old and new icons, please refer to image names. Edited July 25, 2024 by sana 1

yaschir Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Hi, @Tihiy Turkish language file for StartAllBack v3.8.0.5090 is ready. Please add this new updated Turkish language file to your StartAllBack application. Regards.. Turkish language file for StartAllBack v3.8.0.5090.zip
dsbelden Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 (edited) I signed up here just to reply to this thread! I panic when StartAllBack breaks after I update Windows 11 (Preview) and fear that's the end of it all. I installed v3.7.11 with no luck and resigned myself to having to use RetroBar. But then I found this forum and this thread and v3.8 beta is working great! Thank you @Tihiy, you are a hero! Edited July 25, 2024 by dsbelden 1
iaTa Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 The classic taskbar has been removed from Release Preview build 26100.1297. 2
Rylin Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 (edited) Not sure if this is a known issue or if its a bug or not but I wanted to leave this hear anyway just in case When opening start menu with your mouse, and then closing it with the Windows Button on the keyboard, it reopens the Start menu. Loving the update and I'm excited for the full release! Edited July 25, 2024 by Rylin 1
iaTa Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Memory use of explorer.exe goes from ~100MB to ~600MB when the enhanced classic toolbar is enabled on 26100.1297 - is that to be expected?
