Indeed they do. So why not do what I do?

1. In Preferences / General set "When Serpent Starts" to "Show your windows and tabs from last time."
2. When Serpent starts to slow down, just close it the "normal" way, with the X in the upper right corner. (I try to avoid multiple windows, but if I have them, I just close them all.)
3. Wait a few seconds, then relaunch. No "Restore Session" dialog - everything just comes back up and Serpent is speedy again!

99% of the time, I have no need to go to the Task Manager and kill Serpent. If I don't wait long enough in step 3, I may get a "Serpent is already running" window (particularly on my slower home Win 7 PC), in which case I just cancel and try relaunching again.

P.S. On a different topic, Chase.com has become usable again, at least in the latest Serpent 55. (I haven't tried other versions yet.) I still need to use my Chase-specific StructuredClone polyfill, manually type my password, and switch to the Wealth Management page to get it going, but after that it's fine. Weird.

Agreed, that "works".  But that is not for me.  I want my cache completely cleared for "normal" exits.

It is my view that starting from windows and tabs from last time is a form of tab hoarding that I highly discourage.

But "to each their own", of course.

Which I guess is just a long way of saying, "personal preference", lol.

Well, after some digging I found out why these sites were out: for decades, I managed to browse and enter these sites as well firewalling off IGMP and udp (17) to remote (67) and local (68). Not anymore. liberating these connections (I can;t understand why should I, but so it is), I can now reach them again.

Sunshine, at least you could say what OS\Browser on your screenshot. I tested in 3 browsers on my XP - NM 2024-03-21\Serpent v52.9.0 (2024-08-21) and Arctic Foxie's 360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_r8. All not showing pictures like on my screenshot.

I tend to be on the latest Pale Moon (33.3.0 at the time of writing) on Win10 most of the time. Upstream project of course, but it's important reference.

Edit: Just tried recently released New Moon 28 (2024-08-21) on work Win10 laptop and no issue on 4pda.to.
