Alice554 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 I'm a former Windows XP and Windows 7 guy. I'm looking for the best 2023 way to get the explorer toolbar back. (see orange square in attached image) In win 10, I used to use the app "OldNewExplorer" but it's not working in win 11. ideas? Thanks!
NotHereToPlayGames Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 I use Directory Opus at home and Q-Dir at work. I've also used XYplorer and Total Commander in the past. Unsure if any of these work on Win11 but those would be my suggestions.
UCyborg Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Assuming no radical update came since April 2023 that turned everything upside-down, you can use ExplorerPatcher. After install, right-click on the taskbar->Properties->File Explorer->Control Interface->Windows 7 Command Bar. 3
mina7601 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Alice, you probably wanted to say "How to get the classic Windows 7 Command bar back in Explorer (for win 11)", not "How to get the classic XP Toolbar back in Explorer (for win 11)". Windows XP toolbar looks like this. (above the address bar) StartAllBack is also an option to restore the old Windows 7 command bar + a few classical stuff. 1
