WinXP_OK Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Cloudflare protected sites are stuck in a loop "Checking if the site connection is secure" on Firefox 52 and Mypal 68, any solutions?
XPerceniol Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 This happens to me when the time/date is off on the computer and/or the site is in super paranoid mode.

msfntor Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 @XPerceniol, and do you know this tool (10.2 MB): Online Armor Free: https://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Firewall/Online-Armor-Free.shtml ...or Norton Power Eraser: https://support.norton.com/sp/static/external/tools/npe.html 1
D.Draker Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 How about we just ignore such "websites" ? You do know, they make your unique fingerprint, don't you ? 1
Tripredacus Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 I've been seeing the "Checking if site is secure" message on a few sites, I think it is not actually doing what it is saying. I haven't seen any that got stuck in a loop but I have seen 1 (somewhere) that never went past the message. It was a one-off site visit and I didn't care enough to get past the message. For me it happened with Palemoon 28 (Firefox 60). 1
XPerceniol Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Actually, sometimes it also happens on Mypal 68, as well.

Could you be more specific about the everyday sites ? Though, I'd totally understand, if you don't want to name the sites you use.

It tries to make a unique fingerprint of your browser by using mostly the canvas fingerprint . If you want to see yours, can check here your unique ID. https://browserleaks.com/canvas Ungoogled Chrome has the ability to block it completely or generate a fake one. It can also use GetCPInfo GetOEMCP and some others through your browser with a java script. This is not all it can try to fetch. 1
