Hello all,

I found a way on YouTube to be able to open IE without Edge.

Instruction:

Open notepad and type: CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true

Save it e.g. IE.vbs. It is important that it must have the filename .vbs

Then double-click on the file.

Have fun trying

I can understand why no one has replied to this thread...

Why on earth would you want to use IE....it is dated and was never much good.......?!

Edge isn't much better....

I only use IE in case of compatibility problems. I personally don't find the IE function in Edge particularly well solved. I don't use it any more.

It is my understanding that there is an edge web engine that is intended to replace IE. I have no idea if that has switched over yet, but I would sort of doubt it. I would imagine it would eventually switch to this chromium engine
