after esu ends I might just move to windows 10 for 3 more years (support ends in 2025) and after that move to windows 11 I don't really mind windows 10 now with enough tweaking and fixing up it works really well for what I need

I'm not worried about ending support. My computer is behind a NAT, there is a firewall in front of it, and there is a firewall on the computer itself. I have already solved the problem with the end of support for browsers, too. My computer is powerful enough to run in the background in a Win 10/11 virtual machine, and the browser can be displayed on the desktop host in Unity mode, it supports VBox and VmWare.

Good news! The following chart has Windows Embedded POSReady 7 with support up to October 8, 2024. This means if a hack is found to make this edition's updates work for others (the same like enabling ESU in the 1st place), it'll be OK. That's what I am proposing to do alternatively for this year: Instead of switching the OS in light of ending usual ESU, circumvent to extend further. Unfortunately I do not know "how?" at the moment.

@statsfantasm Discussions about bypassing ESU is against rule 1.a.
