EDIT : I just found in archive.org site

I think Bochs virtual machine or QEMU it's the only way to run this version of windows IA-64 it support itanium

Image from google for windows 2000 development (whistler) it's same to windows 2000 advanced server IA-64

How to try that edition? Can it run x86 apps?

Hello, I don't know if this version Whistler is a beta for Windows XP x64 or not, if it is then it can run x86 apps, as for Windows 2000 advanced server x64 it can only run x64 applications, and you can't run x86 apps, these images I found in Google according to For these images, using Bochs or use real intel Itanium is the only options to run these versions.

Maybe if someone tried to modify the leaked code for Windows 2000 and changed the lines to fit the x64 size, but this is difficult, maybe modifying the x64 advanced server with IDA patch to be like XP x64 would be easier I think .

no, it will not run x86 apps, it's an entirely different architecture from x86.

Itanium IA64 was bad at what it was designed to do, it was slow even back then.

Is converting the leaked code for Windows 2000 to x64 code, something that can be accomplished ?, I know a group of developers, I may open a project with them regarding this if possible to do

Why should it not be possible?:dubbio:

because isn't enough in the leaked 2000 source code to make a complete build of the 64 OS as it is

mean it should be the full code of Windows 2000 to convert it to x64

use XP x64 with classic theme , why bother with shady illegal leaked codes

I just wanted to see how likely it would be for Windows 2000 to become a 64-bit system :)

When Reactos becomes stable, you can make a fork that look like 2000
