I don't bother trying to make it 'portable' as I obsessively monitor appdata (application data) folders and use Ccleaner to remove when needed. I keep sessions very short (limited to only 4) and usually close, but, of course, canvas is another pickle .....:unsure:

Not all that big of a deal to mister blobfish..... :)

In beta 5, an attempt was made to disable the acceleration enable lock. I wanted to test it on Intel GMA 900-3150 and ATI Radeon 9500-x600. But the acceleration did not turn on.

spacer.png

GMA does not support Pixel Shaders (PS) 2.0b, only 2.0.
The browser checks for PS2.0b before allowing acceleration to be enabled. For WebGL Angle browser checks PS3.0.

roytam1, is it possible to fix this (checks only for PS2.0, for example in Firefox 43 webGL Angle checks PS2.0)? Once upon a time, they wanted to turn on acceleration for all GMA https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Blocked_Graphics_Drivers

I have:

layers.allow-d3d9-fallback;true

layers.geometry.d3d11.enabled;true

media.wmf.dxva.d3d11.enabled;true

webgl.angle.try-d3d11;true

Hmmmm ... should I disable as this is XP SP 3...

Ok, so, I've a lot disabled due to awful hardware so I rely on the software to pick the slack where my hardware isn't up for the job; just glad no crashed, but again, wasm and webgl need to be disabled.

I have safe browsing disabled (want it that way)

By some chance, are others also seeing that (supposed) "launcher" that is disabled do to failure. ?

Otherwise, very good overall and my movies are working fine tonight.

In my Troubleshooting information page, I see Disabled forcibly! for the Launcher Process. :)

Yes, in Mypal 68, in my Troubleshooting Information page, I see Disabled due to failure.

@XPerceniol! Forget about "dns over https"! It is not as secure as it seems. I read an article about it, and this technology is immature! :yes:

PS: Sorry for mentioning @VistaLover! My editor in my browser got totally crazy. It didn't react and deleting didn't work, either. I clicked more times, and suddenly, there was @VistaLoverjaioublie.gif

~~ Off Topic ~~

I'm glad I'm not the only one having 'one of those days' ... haha :P

Certainly always good to hear from VistaLover anytime, though.

Questions:

I need "help" like you didn't already know that Lol (talking tech help ... haha)..

Do these settings even work, as I've been working hard on this browser tonight.

network.security.esni.enabled (does not even work)
network.http.altsvc.oe;true (default)
network.http.altsvc.enabled;true (default)

Enable DNS over HTTPS corresponds with the pref:
network.trr.mode;2
network.trr.resolvers;[{ "name": "Cloudflare", "url": "data:text/plain," }]

I'm wondering as I've been reading here reasons why we should trust this so wondering what to do with this. I've already my router to use CF, but I don't worry, not my ISP as I use shared from the main office, but they (the complex) knows my devices as I don't hide them because I DO NOT care.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

I meant reasons why we should NOT trust this (dns over https).

Sorry guys, ugh.....

Hello, @XPerceniol! The article about DNS over HTTPS (DoH) I read was linked by @NotHereToPlayGames and very informative. I couldn't find it last night because it was in this thread here. jaioublie.gif Read it and you know what I mean! DoH, no way! :P

Thank you for locating it for me. Yes, I've read it now and will leave

network.security.esni.enabled;false (default)

and will disable (both)

network.http.altsvc.enabled;false (defaults - true)

network.http.altsvc.oe;false (default - true [FF 78 disabled])

After reading this:

https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?t=20682

Also, I've been surfing as usual and not having issues with:

network.http.spdy.enabled;false

Will let you all know whats going on and hope everyone is enjoying this Sunday :)

EDIT:

So, not using Doh, will in turn leave:

network.trr.mode;0 (default)

network.trr.resolvers;[{ "name": "Cloudflare", "url": "data:text/plain," }]

I will change that string to no value (empty string or localhost).

So great you stopped by, and I just used the user js and only had to change a few things to my personal liking. I haven't run into a movie or video game yet that isn't working just fine thank toMypal 68.

user_pref("general.buildID.override", "20100101");
user_pref("general.oscpu.override", "Windows NT 10.0");
user_pref("general.useragent.compatMode.version", "102");
user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0");

I know we've already been down this read and I have a better understanding of canvas and fingerprinting, but i"m not all too worried, personally. I'm trying more to limit what is collected.

Do you guys think changing any of those would make any difference? Of course, trying not to have to use an extension. Dang I love poisondata ....:lol:

Maybe it changes as I chose my systems and fonts so much, but same (very) old hardware.

Hello @XPerceniol! Here are my settings in Mypal 68 referring to canvas:
Mypal-68-Canvas.png
As far as I can see, our settings are identical. Whether changing these settings have a real effect, I don't really know. especially due to the development state of this browser. Trial and error is presumably the game, or a statement of its developer @feodor2. Hope I could help you a bit! :) :hello:
