Microsoft Windows Update v3/v4/v5

Recommended Posts

I just looked @Dave-H´s Windows Update log and saw that a file is being downloaded. With my log this does not happen.

Hello,

The website is fully working with CSS!

But @maile3241 and me have a problem: to use the website, we need to replace 2 files each time we use the website ! To stop that, we need query strings.

Anyone have an idea of how to use query strings in IIS? :}

Thanks by advance ! :thumbup

AFTER MANY YEARS, a part of the plan working!

How did you manage to make Windows Update v5 work, the screenshot is current since it shows postready 2009 updates. What procedure did you use to make WUv5 work correctly?

[THIS IS NOT AN AD] I made a small video on YouTube to demonstrate the website fully working, so everyone can see it:

Not every features are included, but it check for updates and a lot of pages are included in the website folder.

Same for me. I have hosted v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com, schemas.windowsupdate.com and windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v4/ but the cab files won't be downloaded and also no WindowsUpdate\v4 folder in C:\Programfiles. The query strings are definitely the problem.

Does v5 work with Windows ME? I heard that it officially supported ME.

For now it was tested in XP and maybe in 2000, but about Millennium and 2003 I don't know anything.
