UCyborg
Some Control Panel items are registered in Windows registry, editable with Registry Editor, specifically in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace. One of those keys / "folders" is the one you're looking for to delete, if registry entry is its origin. Description on the right may give it away. The folder name is just a GUID, so there's probably another folder with the same name under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID, describing behavior of the Control Panel item. So deleting found keys on both sides should rid of it completely. The interesting question is where are its origins and if other traces exist. jaclaz
More generally searching the Registry for "PRODUCTNAME" may result in one of the two places Ucyborg suggested. jaclaz
