Found a crash: trying to drag any icon on QuickLaunch toolbar crashes Explorer immediately with

Is this going to be fixed? We really need an index. Thats the only reason i still keep the windows search icon.

I remember the Revolutions Pack for Win98. Those were the days. Your deep skills fascinated me. I also used OldNewExplorer recently.
While the classic interface tools of the years are being pruned one by one in each new Windows version, I thank you for the alternative solutions you have created with resistance and perseverance.
StartAllBack is also solid and useful as your previous projects. I'm grateful to you for all efforts.

I'm just trying StartAllBack. I just wanted to report a little issue.

Issue: If NotificationCenter is disabled by GPO, the Date/Clock Pop-up doesn't work in SysTray.

Re-produce in Command Prompt: 

Reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer" /v "DisableNotificationCenter" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
gpupdate /force
TASKKILL /F /IM explorer.exe /T
explorer.exe


Solution:

Hi, is there a way to change the taskbar font color without having to change to Dark/Light theme? StartAllBack allows changing the taskbar color, but the font color is unreadable when paired with certain taskbar colors.

Getting a new bug.. Just updated to 22H2. 

 

Everything looks fine, I use the windows 7 command bar mode to hide the command bar and use a dark theme, and have the classic context menu explorer option ticker, so i never see those awful new win11 context menus in 22H1..

But now they are back, but only if explorer is launched in a unusal way:

Open task manager, click any any process - go to detail, rclick a process - chrome in my example and open file location:

This opens up an explorer window without startallbacks magic applied. Win11 command bar, an rclick shows the awful new contect menus. Actaully on first try, this usuall crashes explorer window and it auto reloads. 2nd try generally it works without the crash.

Explorer broken when launched through third party apps is 22H2 bug fixed with latest updates afaik.
