FWIW, the overwhelming majority of sites, with social media services being the top offenders :realmad: , will favour the latest Google Chrome over the rest browser choices, especially when non-mainstream :angry: ... I bet you UXP is beyond 95% of web developers/admins' radars, they have no intention of (consciously) supporting retro-computing communities that run OSes and browsers major vendors (read M$, Apple, Google) don't endorse...

Who from? Web Compatibility issues in UXP-based browsers are cropping up like weeds as we speak... With WebComponents/CustomElements and Regex Named Capturing Groups (just two off the top of my head ;)) NOT (yet?) implemented (fully) in UXP, more sites will be in need of "further fixes", fixes which'll have to come from "upstream", noone can tell when :dubbio:...

Sorry, I missed the last release due to an illness and the lack of time...

The mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, IceApe, IceDove, K-Meleon 1.5.x/74/76, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds by @roytam1 has been updated -> soggi.org - tools.

So this is actually Cambria Math! I didn't believe WordPad when I pasted it there, when I made the new line and had formatting buttons and font dropdown set the same as with selected text I copied from the website, it looked a little bit different, so I wasn't sure if this is really the correct font.

One source I found yesterday suggested this font initially came with Windows Vista and Office 2007.

You don't say, I remember when you could still chat via Facebook Messenger (normal version of the site) on Pale Moon and it didn't make you wanna start throwing things out the window. :rolleyes:

On my not very latest browser versions, on Firefox it works with a bit of scrollbar twitching while on Edge, it works correctly.


Some websites out there are still reminiscent of the old web, eg. https://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/VCDS.php. They have written specifically to let them know if you believe their website has an accessibility issue.

In contrast, one Ross-Tech's distributor's website (https://vcds.si/) has a bit more modern design and there's more going on in the background (eg. jQuery). I think it would be decent for the site of such caliber to also pick the language from the browser. Looking at the HTML, it's made with WordPress and I know for certain WP can do that as well.

Above website is compatible with UXP, but WordPress or at least certain plugins these days can in fact serve UXP incompatible scripts. Which is a problem because such platforms have their appeal for taking away technical details when it comes to working with websites and such incompatibilities may, given some time, manifest on multiple websites.

You too? I still cough occasionally after 1,5 week from the point when I seemed to be fine at first glance, it's really taking a lot of time to clear up.

That page confounds most of my arguments in my previous post, i.e. in Serpent 52.9.0:

Palefill already had a "built-in rule" for "docs.microsoft.com", now that MS changed the hostname to "learn.microsoft.com", that rule has to be corrected accordingly; inside file "./lib/builtin-rules.js" (L56) :

Now the MS page should display as intended :) :

BTW, if you're wondering why the page displays in its dark "flavour" (by default), it's because I have set: 

browser.display.prefers_color_scheme;2

inside my Serpent's config editor (about:config) :P ...

What I'm confused about, is that I didn't see it when inspecting in Pale Moon.

F12 in Firefox showed it.

How can this be explained?

Anyhow, whoever is missing Cambria, can download them from my Dropbox account (these are the most recent version from a Windows 10 install).

I run XP on all NINE of my computers/laptops.  But I do not classify this as "retro-computing".

Retro-computing is Commodore C64 or VIC-20, Apple IIe, Tandy 100, et cetera.  Not XP.

Anyway, it works like a charme. It only remains to mention that the option cosmetic filters in uBO must of course be activated, which unfortunately was not the case with me, and therefore did not work at first.

Thanks for that link ;) ... Let's just accept that for "now", WinXP isn't "retro", just "obsolete" :P:

But it'll have become "retro" sooner than you and I would think (late 2020s, early 2030s? :dubbio::whistle:); whatever the adjective used to "correctly" refer to it, "facebook" and their "pals" would still not consider it (and the browsers running on it) as a platform to officially support/test on...
 FWIW, let it be put on record that I personally hold nothing against WinXP; but in the majority of the cases I would post (especially in GitHub issue trackers) and complain that XP support had been removed from an app (often taking Vista support with it :realmad: ), "they" were quick to point to me that "XP was first released to the public in late 2001"... :(

is a project run by one of MSFN members... "Retrocomputing" is the first term on the header; I see many references to XP therein, so perhaps it was from there I had formed a more "loose" comprehension of the "term" (to also comprise XP ;) ) ...

... As far as I am aware, the default setting in uBO is to have "cosmetic filtering" always enabled ("activated"), both in a global scope:

So I take it, by what you posted, that you had disabled CF yourself sometime in the past... Am I correct in this assumption?
