Moved to GD.

I tried to figure it out, but without a complete inventory I can't say for sure. Perhaps I will do that and confirm. For this post I will say 5 that are current, plus an additional 6 that are known to work, and perhaps another 15 20 that are complete systems but in an unknown level of operation.

EDIT: oh god I forgot about the servers.

For, complete, working things, I do not have a specific number, but last I knew it was north of 40. It certainly has not decreased since then, though i have a several I plan to sell at some point

I don't know how many computers I have now, however, at last count I think I had roughly 100 :o

This is primarily Macs of various shapes, sizes and ages, but there's a fair number of PCs as well.

If you count a completely fried 2007 HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop that I have lying around and a Sandy Bridge Pentium desktop which has been sent for repair and upgrades,
a desktop and 4 laptops.

I have bought some components for building another custom desktop PC already, but can't say when it will be built and ready to use, because COVID.

EDIT: Thinking of buying a ThinkPad t61p/t500 also in the near future, to have as a retro laptop.

How many do I "own"?  Too many to count!

But here is the list of computers that I use at least once a week if not daily (3 desktops, 4 laptops).

Dell XPS 8700 running Intel i7-4770 with 16GB RAM and with five widescreen monitors.

eMachine with basically everything gutted and replaced currently running Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 with 3GB RAM and with two "square" monitors and one widescreen monitor.

Compaq Presario with basically everything gutted and replaced currently running AMD Sempron 3100+ with 2GB RAM and one extra-wide widescreen monitor.

IBM ThinkPad T43 [16yrs old] (only once a month or so on this one, reprogram performance chips on project cars, tune turbos, etc) running Intel Pentium M 750 with 2GB RAM (no longer has any batteries).

Dell Latitude D830 running Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 with 3.5GB RAM.

Dell Latitude E5470 running Intel i5-6300U with 8GB RAM.

Acer Aspire One running Intel Atom N270 with 1GB RAM.

But my proudest I'd say is a fully functional Commodore 64 that's been in the family since 1981 (sound chip has been replaced a couple times), celebrating its 40th Birthday.

Any time I attempt to count computers, I certainly count the GRiD Systems 1520, which is literally a brick since it went underwater and ended up becoming completely destroyed with corrosion and dirt. It is too special of a computer to have thrown away.

I didn't consider counting the micros. That is 1 C64, 2 VIC-20, and if they count a TI-99/4A and a Timex Sinclair 1000.

My list changed slightly over the weekend.

A neighbor in his late 70s only uses a computer for solitaire, mahjong, and email.

He was running an Acer Aspire X running an Intel Core 2 Duo N3050 @ 1.6GHz with 4GB DDR3 and 64-bit Win10.

He picked up a Dell single-core from an in-law, forget actual CPU but do know it was a single-core @ 3.0GHz.

The Dell only had 512MB DDR2 so I pulled 1GB from my eMachine and dropped my eMachine from 3GB to 2GB.

He gave me his Acer Aspire X but I haven't really found a use for it yet - its PassMark benchmarks scores lists it so close to two of my other low-end machines that all I really gain is going from DDR2 to DDR3.
