legacyfan Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 (edited) does any one on Here know a good alternative to windows snipping tool snapshot tool on windows xp? Edited March 21, 2021 by VistaEX
RainyShadow Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Is that for taking screenshots? I use the screen capture function in IrfanView. Or you can press the PrintScreen key and then paste in a drawing program like MS Paint. Use Alt+PrintScreen to capture a single window.
legacyfan Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 (edited) i tested the tool you suggested and it works great! Edited March 21, 2021 by VistaEX
NullEntity Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 If i may chime in ive used greenshot and it works pretty well!
i430VX Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I have used Lightshot for a long time. I find it to be very good, supporting multiple formats, built in cropping and editing, and optional image upload to their site, for sharing over the internet. Best of all, it activates by pressing the Print Screen key. 2
ED_Sln Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 I am using the SnapShot program from MyIE9 (ancestor of Maxthon). One file, 690KB. I can unload if needed. 1
ED_Sln Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 The program is Chinese, like the browser, but all the button prompts are in English. https://mega.nz/file/LzYyXRQa#3IubkwPvOdxogklvY2fGrZ7tIUNxv-itharvJI1uRI0

FantasyAcquiesce Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 I use faststone screen capture 6.3. It's the last freeware version, and works on Windows 98 PCs too. Doesn't work on NT 4 though.
