Hi, I have been trying to get display drivers for windows vista X64. My GPU is NVIDIA GT 1030. I cant get any drivers that are compatible with the GT 1030 to work on vista. any help would be awesome.

 

 

Additional info:

Specs:

  • CPU: i5 2400
  • GPU NVIDIA Geforce GT 1030
  • RAM: 12GB DDR3 @1333Mhz
  • OSes: Windows 10, Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (On separate HDD's)

Welcome to MSFN. My understanding is that there is no better driver for your purposes than 372.70, which did not officially support Vista and has significant issues. Obvious solutions would be a newer version of Windows or an older GPU. There have been recent efforts by @win32 to modify the driver as discussed beginning here, but testing by @burd in subsequent posts has not been very encouraging thus far.

But 372.70 only supports the gtx cards because the GT 1030 came out in 2017. and the driver came out in 2016 (for the gtx cards)

You have to manually add your device , even so i believe only upto GTX 1050Ti can be gotten to work

haven't done any benchmark because i'm occupied with updating some isos

aero worked, windows experience index worked too, no unexpected crash/bsod

used it for a few hours browsing the internet

got the driver from my gpu's vendor's (asus gtx 1060 3gb dual oc) website because i couldn't find it on nvidia's page btw

It will be bad. (My own experience). Desktop works, but that's it.
