@win32, wait a minute ... I'm stunned , it's a legit win10 driver ported to Vista !!! This driver exists out there in the wild ... but for Win10 only !!!

Just search for "nvidia driver 373.19"  yourself . So the Fujitsu Siemens staff ported a win10 driver !??! And look at the date added "November 2017".

https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/NVIDIA/Acer-Aspire-TC-730-NVIDIA-Graphics-Driver-373-19-for-Windows-10-64-bit.shtml

I notice that the only publicly available 373.19 is from MSI. Perhaps it's part of a driver branch for OEMs and only MSI decided to make the driver they got publicly available?

However, 372.93 and 373.06 are available from NVIDIA as reference drivers. The former for Windows 10 but the latter as an NT 6.x mobile driver: https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/108323/en-us

Also of note, NVIDIA's reference driver also calls memcpy_s.

So we may safely assume those are win10 ported drivers . Why ? There are no 372.93 and 373.19 windows 7 drivers . I looked at some others (older ones) I received from FS and all of the numbers correspond to their windows 10 versions (!), but not win7. Like 369.09 and 39

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/236586/nvidia-driver-36909-/

BTW , looked at 373.19 again , it supports all 1000 series cards , including GTX 1050 Ti , only the lowest end GT1030 is missing.

Could you share them with me? (I would like everything you have, but just 373.19 is good too I guess) I have a GTX 1060 3gb and I would really like to test them after I get home from vacation! Also you know that I own 2 FS machines if that matters

Hello guys! I found 2 Chromium browsers that work in Vista.
The bad, is that they do not stand extensions, but ... well!
Beaker Browser: Chrome 87
https://filehippo.com/download_beaker-browswer/
They must unzip it and then execute it directly, since if you try to install, it says it requires Windows 7 or higher ...

Briskbard (Portable): Chrome 92!

For those wanting to run Firefox 89+ on Vista, open xul.dll in a hex editor and search for the hex sequence FC 1C 01 00 00 C7 46 08 B0 1D 00 00 31 C9 BA 04 and change the bolded numbers to 72 17 and then again with 6B 2D 04 C7 47 FC 1C 01 00 00 C7 47 08 B0 1D 00

Notice how 1DB0 is hex for 7600 and 1772 is hex for 6002.

Which GPU and driver are you using? I haven't encountered that issue on NVIDIA driver 342.00 using Quadro FX 3800.

I got this when i launch Firefox Developer

Any Firefox version above 89.0.2 IS NOT working with Extended Kernel currently. A new version has to be developed by win32 first. You can use latest Google Chrome instead. I hope a newer Extended Kernel will support Office 2013/Spotify/Steam as well

91 ESR is working with the hex patches I described earlier. 92 beta as well, but 93 developer also has issues for me. But remember that 93 developer is bleeding edge and instability should be anticipated. I would be concerned if the crashes stuck around to beta, however.
