heinoganda Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 (edited) In order to solve the problem with YouTube in the last working version of Google Chrome (49.0.2623.112) under Windows XP, you need the option to adapt the user agent. In my case using ModHeader and the following entry: USER-AGENT Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0 Update: Request Headers: USER-AGENT Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.112 Safari/537.36 OPR/36.0.2130.80 (Edition Campaign 67) Edited May 30, 2020 by heinoganda 1
Comrade_Hajji Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 What is the purpose? What troubles do you solve exactly in this way?
heinoganda Posted May 5, 2020 Author Posted May 5, 2020 The message "Google Chrome 49 and Youtube Troubleshooting" was aimed at the users so that they can still use YouTube without any problems under Windows XP! (by the way Chrome 49 does not work on a P3 !!)
Comrade_Hajji Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Classic design and HD available --disable-infobars --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/48.0.2564.81 Safari/537.36" --no-referrers
EdSon Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 --disable-infobars --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/48.0.2564.81 Safari/537.36" Blank: Need Update view: Resize client area, for example with Zoom or Open Developer Tools F12 Left panel :-/ --disable-infobars --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0" Good :-) BUT, New Tab :-/, not show bottom direct access and the search input only accepts URL T_T:

we3fan Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 (edited) Hi guys, I use Chrome 49 also. Without agent Chrome opens Youtube in 2 seconds with the "We’ll stop supporting..." message. With agent Chrome opens Youtube in 8 seconds without the "We’ll stop supporting..." message. Firefox ESR 52.9 opens Youtube in 8 seconds also. Is this normal? Edited June 5, 2020 by we3fan
we3fan Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) It finally happened to me today, on Chrome 49 youtube forced the new layout which opens very slowly compared to the old one. I want to try if I can always open youtube in the old layout. https://www.youtube.com/?disable_polymer=true - This opens in the old layout but anything you click opens in the new layout. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/restore-classic-for-youtu/dhnphdafbioamppmaiaebbdobfhbhnlm - I tried this Chrome Extension but says file is removed. Does someone know how to get this extension file and install it? https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/39405-youtube-classic-for-2018-polymer-disable/code I also found this, I don't know if it is safe or how to use it. What happens if I press "Install this script"? Thanks in advance. Edited June 10, 2020 by we3fan
