I use MyPal v28 on WinXP/SP3.  I changed "general.useragent.override" in about:config, I discovered the browser presents an old version number which won't install most Firefox add-ons. 

What version of Firefox is MyPal 28 based upon?  How can I change the config settings to permit more Firefox add-ons to install?

In a nutshell  --  Firefox is no longer Firefox.

Firefox removed legacy (ie, XUL) add-ons in favor of WebExtensions (ie, Chrome-like) add-ons.

I thought upstream PM forked from 24 and then had to fork from the 38 codebase?

Either way I'm surprised roytam still never rebranded the browser series properly given the threats over at the PM forums, they're known for this behaviour which is sadly why I never want to touch another Goanna based browser again, that and the lag issues I've been having compared to even old Chromium versions  :<

From what I understand New Moon 27 is based on the Firefox 38 codebase while New Moon 28 is Firefox 52.

Personally I don't see the benefit of using Pale Moon over the Serpent/UXP version that is offered here for download, for me Serpent does everything I need addon-wise and speed but they both probably have their advantages depending on what the user is using it for.

Thanks for your continuing work and upload of mailnews, for me it’s even better than the newer versions for Windows 7+

For some reason though the yahoo account won’t retrieve messages when using the built-in “get messages from all accounts” button command or with the Shift+F5 keyboard shortcut. However, I did find an addon that does: The Get/Send-Button version 5.31. The good part is that it can be configured to make that the default.

Why the addon works and not the built-in button or keyboard command I have yet to figure out. Both use the same command to retrieve all account messages simultaneously: goDoCommand('cmd_getMsgsForAuthAccounts');.
