My Browser Builds (Part 2)

Recommended Posts

When the about:support or the Stylem-edit cause a crash for me, I don't get any error dialogs or nothing, the process terminates and there is no warning or error dialog of any kind.  THAT is why I asked "How did you track the crash down to this .dll?".

Aside from that, yes, the .dll did fix the about:support crash - but then I immediately deleted the three .dll files because I have no use for them.

I've force over a dozen crashes via about:support without the .dll files and Event Viewer doesn't show anything for any of them.

Same results for XP x86 and XP x64.

Did not test in Win 2k3 or Win10.

Windows Event Log Service is running and logging forced crashes in other applications.

Hi

Problem: after closing Arcticfox 27.10.1, it remains active in the task manager and after a few seconds it displays

an error.

test XPsp2

"arcticfox-27.10.1.win32-20200801"  still has the problem of closing normally through EXIT from the menu. The window closes, but refuses to close in the windows task manager. The problem does not exist if you go through a direct closing of the window by the upper right cross or if you close the only tab in function that causes the closing.

thats the problem in upstream, and thats the reason why AF's frontend codes are not merged to my PM27 repo.

EDIT: reported to upstream: https://github.com/rmottola/Arctic-Fox/issues/34

Hip Hip Hooray!!!  back to v27 as my DEFAULT do-it-all browser-of-choice...

Correction - I'm back to 28.1.0a1 (Sept. 21, 2018) as my DEFAULT do-it-all browser-of-choice.

v27 kept crashing during Stylem style edits.
