ceez
zup peeps, I cant take it anymore.... I need to buy a DVD+-R/W....well dont need...just WANT one!I was at BestBuy looking through their selections and was wondering what would you suggest based on your knowledge of the whole dvd burner world or what you use. I also dont want to break the bank, looking to spend a max of $150. I saw a BUSLINK 8x for $143.00. Is that a good reliable drive? They even have a LiteON and Digital Research 8x for $133.00....oh the options... would appreciate some input to help me in my decision.thkz, ceez
XtremeMaC
first look at pricegrabber.com 2nd either buy lite-on or plextorlite on is cheaper.then u can buy pioneerthen u can buy sony which mostly uses lite-on products.then if u don't like any of those (which are the top 4)the rest i'd say are mostly the same quality..i had bought my lite-on 811 for $140 1.5 months ago now they've true 8x i dunno the price. i have burned over 40 dvd's no problem at all!! i was writing at 2x (bc of my bad media) anyways now i've upgraded to 4x media, it rocks 15min !!! Skyfrog
Sony makes some nice drives, as well as LG. I have a Panasonic myself and it has been very dependable.

Unwonted
I have a Lite On (I've used Lite-ons for about four years now) 8x, it handles all formats (+/- and DVD-RW), and I got it for $103 at Newegg.com. And I love it!
