Cixert Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) I have no experience on Chrome. I come from using Firefox, K-Meleon, New Moon and derivatives. I have many computers and many have old hardware. Only when the Firefox version has become really very slow have I realized that Google Chrome 49 is much faster. So, thanks to an earlier comment on this thread, I have tried all Chinese browsers based on Chromium on Windows XP and also on Windows 10 @redapple0204 Those that work on XP are the following: (please examine file with a good antivirus before running, some seem to have introduced viruses) -2345 Explorer (there is only in Chinese language) http://ie.2345.cc/ (for PC) https://app.2345.com/ (for phone) -360 Extreme Explorer (webkit adapted to Blink + Trident (IE according to web compatibility) 360 Extreme Explorer” is the real name today for international version of Chinese explorer “360 Secure Explorer”. I am mainly using 360 Extreme Explorer, now with the modified version in Russia on a Pentium IV 3.06 Ghz with HT / FSB 533 / RAM 2 GiB / hard disk ATA-133 rpm 5400 K-Meleon and New Moon @roytam1 do not work at a decent speed on this Windows XP computer exploring several tabs on various classes of web pages (for example XDA developers). Although these do work very quickly on the same computer with Windows 2000 (the version number is different). While: 360 Extreme Explorer 11.1.1141.0 works very fast on Windows XP. 360 Extreme Explorer 12.0.1014.0 beta? It doesn't work so fast on Windows XP. So my decision is 360 Extreme Explorer 11.1.1141.0 This works very very fast until I open 30-40 tabs, then 360 starts to pull cache memory and becomes very very slow. Also when I close 360 Extreme Explorer and reopen with more than 15 tabs it takes 20-30 minutes to be available, as well as slows down the entire Windows XP operating system, not being able to use even the Windows file explorer in those 20-30 minutes that is cache memory working. I ask you for instructions to eliminate 360 Extreme Explorer working with cache memory and to reduce the number of tabs that are kept in RAM at the same time. I have the desktop shortcut with "-disk-cache-size- <0>" but it doesn't seem to work: "C: \ EXPLORERS \ 360 Extreme Explorer (Russian version) \ Chrome \ Application \ 360chrome.exe" -disk-cache-size- <0> --disable-logging --disable-component-update --disable-background- networking --allow-outdated-plugins --cipher-suite-blacklist = 0xcc14 Edited March 13, 2020 by Cixert 1

Zorba the Geek Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) I have discovered that 360 Extreme Explorer has built in support for Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithms (ECDS) which the versions of Chrome suitable for XP do not have, and hence you are not plagued with pages that will not load and give the message "ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH". Here is the supported cipher suites for a the server of a site that cannot normally be viewed with Chrome under XP - https://www.aidanwoods.com/blog/faulty-login-pages/ TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 TLS_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 OLD_TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA Here are the cipher suites supported by Advanced Chrome 54.20.6530.0 which only include cipher suites with the RSA Digital Signature Algorithm TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256_OLD TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256_OLD TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA TLS_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA Here are the cipher suites supported by 360 Extreme Explorer. I have highlighted in bold those that match the cipher suites supported by the aidanwoods.com site. TLS_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA TLS_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA As you can see 360 Extreme Explorer provides three cipher suites with Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithms that match those supported by the aidanwoods.com site. lama Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I patched the 78 build but,.. I see this browser is logging mouse movements In Process Explorer, I/O Total Delta Bytes show fast numbers when mouse is moved on top of browser pages (regardless or active or inactive window). Any new tab first attempts to contact *.cn domains I guess, still some things remain unpatched 4
ED_Sln Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 In new versions, they broke support for TLS 1.3, if you try to open a site with TLS 1.3 or where 1.2 and 1.3 are used at the same time, the browser will show a certificate error. https://www.howsmyssl.com/ shows the status of BAD. The latest version where there are no these problems is 12.0.1053.0. 2
Frost The Loser Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 When I install it on my brother's old Gateway, it gives me a crash error telling me it will send data back to Microsoft. It didn't even install the browser. Any details why?

LORPAL Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Hello everyone! First of all, I apologize for my English. In my google search I came across this page and I found the topic to be very interesting. I tell you my experience when browsing with Windows XP. Firstly the supported browsers were: Mozilla Firefox 52.9.0 with uBlock Origin v1.17.4 Firefox (addons signature must be disabled from about: config) and SRWare Iron 49.0.2600.0 with uBlock Origin v1.16.20. For SRWare to work I had to install the certificates, I put the certificates of my Windows 10 and perfect. In both navigation without problem, youtube works very well like the other pages. Of course, in SRWare, it appears that the browser is going to be deprecated, but it is a warning. As for security, Avast Free Antivirus v18.8.2356 still receives updates, Malwarebytes 3.5.1.2522 and SUPERAntiSpyware is supported. Regarding the 360 browser, which appears with so many names, YouTube has some lag, because it consumes more resources. Use the latest version I found, 360 Chrome Browser v12.0.1386.0. The Russian versions make no difference, except for the installer language and putting the interface in Russian. It strikes me a lot as a chromium browser that has XP support is so hidden. I don't see anyone doing a translation to different languages, much less have support for spell checking. I tried several like Maxthon but navigation is slow and does not support chrome addons. I also tried the famous version of chromium 75 for XP without results, it is still not supported. I hope someone can rescue the 360 browser and provide translations into more languages. Regards.
genieautravail Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 (edited) With russian 360 Chrome Browser 12.0.1014.0, I don't have any issue with the interface, displayed in english for me. Not tested with build 1386.0. On 6/15/2020 at 1:48 AM, LORPAL said: For SRWare to work I had to install the certificates, I put the certificates of my Windows 10 and perfect. How do you do that ?
