Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6a

Hey, yesterday I've finally got a sealed copy of Windows NT 4.0 Workstation in Danish. It's the only version of Windows from the 1990 era that I've never tried out yet.

Alongside the OEM disc there is also another disc in which SP4 is located. I've been searching all around the Internet for SP6a in Danish for compatibility reasons for about two weeks now. It's impossible to find at Archive.org or at the Wayback Machine. I've also been searching all open FTP's at http://www.mmnt.ru/.

Ironically, all the localized versions of my neighbour countries are possible to find such as the Norwegian, Swedish, German and the English ones.

I was wondering whether some of you guys have downloaded the files "SP6ALPHA.EXE" and "SP6I386.EXE" in Danish or maybe have a direct link for the files? It would be a big help! :-)

Fortunately, someone in another forum was able to help me a few days ago with the installer ("SP6I386.exe") in Danish too.

I have been spending some time lately collecting all of the old updates from Windows Update that I could find. I have found a lot searching the Internet for url's and also found this forum very useful. I am thinking of publishing the collection sometime for historical purposes. Most of the updates are almost officially gone by now.

Do you know whether all the security updates and other system patches for Windows 95, NT, 98, 98SE and Me has been archived in Danish somewhere? I guess I have been able to track about half of the updates so far by finding deep links from Microsoft's servers and through Wayback Machine. But almost half of the links were dead.

The best way to update 98se is to use the unofficial SP3 which is English only.  I personally wouldn't bother with 95.   The only advantage 95 has over 98se  is the 95 explorer shell without IE integration.  Considering you can use 98lite to shell swap 98se to use the 95 shell than if that is what you wanted to do than there is basically zero sane reason to use 95.

Same for windows ME but because there exists a program called 98se2ME  you can use all the features of windows ME, without compromising the DOS  implementation in 95 or 98 thus makes zero reason to use ME.

A person may disagree with me on these points but only from a reason that is irrelevant.

I don't know about NT,  I could be wrong about it but there was never that huge of a community behind it like 98se, 2000, or XP those 3 are the major windows releases that matter imo.

I agree with you. Fortunately, for you guys, there are unofficial solutions for the non-localized versions of Windows.

I was just curious because I was able to find the direct URL's for some of the localized updates in Danish. Unfortunately some of the updates from the era have been removed. About a month ago I succeeded downloading the following updates for Windows 98/Me from Microsoft's own servers:
