jumper
> Still, you can just redirect it to the normal InterlockedCompareExchange which is supported on XP On the x64 version maybe, but on the x32 version the total size of the parameters don't match: only 12 bytes vs 20 for InterlockedCompareExchange64. (On x64 it should be 24 vs 24.)

caliber
I had tested this one but it requires a password and it loads unwanted services on startup which makes Windows pretty slower. https://www.nomachine.com/
Mcinwwl
Hi, but which TV is the latest one that supports XP natively? I'm still sticking with 13.0.6447 on XP, due to IPv4 bug that caused it to crash on later 13.X vesrions, and I'd like to know if anyone tried the latest 13.x if it works on XP. heinoganda
@Mcinwwl Have tested the versions 13.2.26558.0 and 14.1.3399.0, both worked for me. I do not use IP6. Edited January 20, 2019 by heinoganda

Apparently all versions including the current 14 are supported under XP: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Which-operating-systems-are-supported/ta-p/24141#toc-hId--1332302068 As for me, I'm still using version 12, which I've been very happy with (12.1.12295): http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp3/EOL/TeamViewer_Setup.exe Later releases of version 12 had stability issues so I chose not to update. You can download earlier versions of TeamViewer 13 to 10 here (Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP): https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/previous-versions/ You can download legacy versions of TeamViewer 5 to 9 here (Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000): https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/old-versions.aspx Edited January 20, 2019 by sdfox7

Only need the Wayback Machine to get the list really. I've never used TeamViewer myself but I archived the older versions. Not sure how far back these will take you on OS support. Maybe one's in there for Windows 95 at least?
Mcinwwl
Unfortunately, it still crashes under both 13.2.26558.0 and 14.1.3399.0. There is a topic on their board explaining this particular issue. If you want to reproduce, disable ipv6 on your XP machines and turn your TeamViewer into Accept incoming only in Local Network exclusively. Not sure if I should post another one, expecting TAT for a resolution of year-old known issue o.O.
FranceBB
Well, the situation is pretty weird 'cause they didn't remove XP from the list of supported OS on their website, but when I raised the issue on the forum nobody replied. When another user contacted support, they simply said that there was nothing they were going to do. So... what's their plan? Releasing new versions without testing them on XP, hoping that nothing breaks/something gets fixed by the compiler? Close both eyes in front of an issue prompted by many users and pretend that everything is fine? I don't get it.
Mcinwwl
Probably as long as I'm not a business user that can sue them, they will not care. I'm not even a paid user

Only TCP/IP 6 protocol in wIndows XP Install and disable if not needed in the network adapter! Since I do not permanently install TeamViewer for my purposes, I have not had this problem yet. Hope that the problem with you is also solved. Edited January 28, 2019 by heinoganda
sdfox7
Does this issue only happen when TeamViewer is installed? I always "run only" without installing it.

I personally use TeamViewer temporarily and do not install it, just start it ("run only"). The test scenario in my VM has it installed.
