Automatic Formatting the C(Installation-)Drive

Recommended Posts

If you're talking about Unattended then

AutoPartition = 1 Installs Windows to the first available partition or simply delete this line

Repartition = Yes Deletes all partitions on the first drive and reformats the drive with NTFS.

in Winnt.sif set these keys

[Data]

AutoPartition = 1

[unattended]

Repartition = Yes

Is that what you wanted?

that wil delete all partition!!!! well

I want something ;I think:very difficult:

I want to make unattended cd wich will quick format c: then continue as usual

without having to manually quick format c:

Is this possible?

I think not via winnt.sif.as I 've read ref.chm in deploy.cab.;as far as I know

but I got another idea , worked fine.BUT it will be ATTENDED ;unfortunately :)

but still want it via winnt.sif

stubborn;ain't I? :rolleyes:

medhunter I've looked myself

I can't find anything in Deploy either

Did find this though

DISKPART and FORMAT take approximately 90 seconds for large hard drives.

Here

CFGDISK.CMD

DISKPART /s DISKSCR.TXT
FORMAT C: /fs:ntfs /q /v:"" /y

DISKSCR.TXT

select disk 0
create partition primary
assign letter c

If there was a way to make it run

Hi,

I'm very intersted by the diskpart/quickformat method, and even more if it could be integrated in an unattend install.

So... Is it possible ? And where should I put these .cmd ?

Many thx... My Fully unattended recovery CD just wait it !
