I can't use Win XP anymore

I am experiencing problems like nothing I've never exeperienced before.

An XP machine that worked fine yesterday have contracted Rabies .

I have always used google search on my machines, but this morning, Yahoo has taken over. How can I get back to using google serach?

Even worse is that I can't do anything useful in Win Xp.

When I try to connect to msfn, I get a message saying that  "to protect against information theft Firefox did not connect with that website"

What would I do without Win 10?

Maybe use Win 7?

I wish I knew how to make Win 7 loook more like XP.

Or reinstall Windows XP from scratch if you have the courage (you can attempt a repair install with the Windows XP CD too).

That's weird, I have no issues with MSFN on Windows XP with browsers like Chrome 49, Firefox 52.9.0, or Pale Moon 27.9.

If the issue is limited to a change in the expected behaviour of your browser, I would look into resetting it, trying a different browser, and scan for malware.

If a browser complains about problems with https certificates, the first thing to check is the system date. I had quite a few issues with clients complaining about not being able to browse the Internet, when the system date was not right. The change to a different OS would do no good, in such a case, of course.

I assumed Windows 10 is on different computer. But, if not, then it is not a case of wrong system date, certainly.
