Neil_G
I have 3 PCs on my network all running Win 10. On 2 of the PCs when I use Windows File Explorer and click on Network it shows the 3 PCs but on 1 of the PC it shows only itself and 1 other PC but not the third PC. The third PC is on the same WIFI network as the other 2 and some of the folders are shared. I would appreciate suggestions to get the third PC to show in File Explorer
UCyborg
Windows 10 version 1803 has a bug (I don't know whether it's fixed with newer updates or not, but it existed for at least 6 months) with certain key services not starting up when computer is connected to a private network. Function Discovery Resource Publication service is the one that must be running to make a computer visible in other computers' Networks folder. https://www.ghacks.net/2018/04/17/fix-pcs-no-longer-recognized-in-network-after-windows-10-version-1803-upgrade/ You don't have to restart the PC to make it visible as that article says, just change the service's startup type then start it manually. Also make sure you're not accidentally using Public network profile on one of your computers. https://tinkertry.com/how-to-change-windows-10-network-type-from-public-to-private
Neil_G
The 3 PC (all running Win 10 ver 1809) are on same network. One of the PCs is hard wired and the other 2 on wifi
Neil_G
I am using private network and the setting for Function Discovery is set as shown in the link but still have same issue
UCyborg
Can you access the invisible PC by entering its IP address in the Explorer's address bar, eg. \\192.168.1.3 The only other idea I have is if maybe some firewall is in the way.

Neil_G
No it all depends on which PC I am using. it varies between PCs as to which are visible. If I put in the path on another app that I have, I can access see and have access to any of my PCs fro any of the other PCs
