My build of New Moon (temp. name) a.k.a. Pale Moon for XP

Recommended Posts

Nope, the x86 build doesn't work as well. I'm glad that this custom version of Pale Moon exist, this means i can stay on Vista and don't have to worry about not compatible updates

However, it does NOT run on Vista, despite Moonchild previous;y saying that it should ....lol

Moonchild said it should work, not that he knew for a fact it actually works. So he didn't lie. And, of course, they don't test to know whether it works or not, much less to find out why it doesn't work although they did nothing to specifically cause it. They just don't care, for a long time already.

Well if it had been working through a beta, and not in the finished product, then something DID change on purpose.

And I'm not the guy you'll ever find defending Moonchild in any respect EVER Dencorso.  I find him extremely dislikeable and arrogant,   He treats forum users very questionably, and I would prefer not to reserve niceties for him.

Agreed. But you misunderstood me: I was pointing out he deliberately gave a misleading reply, not defending him. :)

Just tested the latest New Moon 28 x64 version on XP x64 - works fine. Had to switch from 27 because somehow, reCaptchas stopped working even in Firefox comaptibility mode.

Once more, my words of thanks for this backport! :)
